The assault resulted in the temporary shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Police arrested a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several people hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
